It’s easy to put a subject into a search engine, get thousands of suggested websites and end up confused and scared. Here are websites and written resources that we’ve found to be reliable, trustworthy and up to date.
This has in-depth information on all aspects of living with HIV and all the the latest science and research. NAM, the organisation responsible for aidsmap, also has a series of patient information booklets that you can order through the website.
This website has information on HIV for people all over the world. There are specific sections for the UK and for gay men.
This site has in-depth information on HIV treatment and an option to ask questions online and by email.
i-Base also runs a phoneline to answer questions about treatment. Telephone: 0808 800 6013 (Monday to Wednesday, 12noon to 4pm).
This has advice on any health topic.
A US website with extensive, in-depth information on many issues relating to HIV. Targets anyone living with HIV, not just gay men.
Our main website has details of local services, information, advice and support. You can also order our ‘Living with HIV’ booklets through the website, if your clinic does not have copies of them.
